Rub shoulders with devout pilgrims, monks and merchants in the laneways and monasteries of Lhasa before traveling on the highest railway in the world to Xining – a definite highlight. Witness the incredible Army of Terracotta Warriors in Xian and before traveling on to Beijing, China’s capital. Not ready to go home yet?: We can arrange a Yangtze cruise of 4 or 5 days, in either direction. The Yangtze River and Three Gorges is one of China’s most amazing experiences and combines well with this journey. See the magnificent Three Gorges and the ever-changing scenery, as well as the incredible dam project.

Ask our Travelers: “We loved the itinerary – lots of free time to do our own thing. We moved away from the typical touristy places to see life as it really is. The people we met, the cheap food and shopping and our tour group all made this a remarkable experience. The local guides were outstanding.” Laurie & Margaret Hastings, Australia
