2009 Mekong Mountains & Monks - 10 days

The whole family will love this 10-day adventure. In the country’s sleepy capital, Vientiane, you will be welcomed with a traditional baci ceremony and enjoy a game of petanque (similar to lawn bowls only a lot more fun!) We travel overland to Vang Vieng, a beautiful riverside town with loads of fun outdoor activities on offer. In Luang Prabang, check out the local waterfalls, take an elephant trek and cruise the Mekong to a wonderful eco-lodge, where you can try your hand at traditional rural activities like fishing and rice planting. Unique experiences like these – both educational and lots of fun – make for a truly special family vacation.
