What our clients say...

Julia,

I have been meaning to write you for several weeks now to let you know what a wonderful time we had in Vietnam. I LOVED Travel Indochina - everything ran so smoothly and the guides were really so knowledgeable and kind. In retrospect, although I know it was so much work for you, I loved having the private tours and am glad I wasn't part of a large group. I really felt that we were able to see and do so much but on our own time.

The hotels were great (especially the Sofitel Metropole) and so I was definitely happy with the Deluxe Package. I know how much work you put into making this such a perfect trip and Lauren and I both really really appreciate it. I would love to send a message to your supervisor to let him or her know how pleased I was with every part of the process so can you please suggest an appropriate contact person. I am already recommending Travel Indochina to friends and family in the States and Lauren and I planning our next trip (still in the dreaming phase now but if and when it become a reality we will give you a call!)

All the best, Emily

Hi Sil,

This was the best group we have taken. The boys mixed well and they were fun to travel with. In their end of tour reflections the boys spoke about their: greater awareness of cultural differences between Asia and the West, deeper understanding of the Vietnam War, appreciation of the role of charity and how happy people could be with only basic living standards, and their enjoyment at being so engaged during the tour.

The highlights were the Ho Chi Minh Trail Museum, the homestay in the Mai Chau valley, the DMZ tour, the Cu Chi Tunnels, the Killing Fields, the Sunrise Children’s Village, and the quality of the food throughout the trip.

Best, Cameron

Dear Clare,

We had a great vacation, met and delivered on time always, excellent guides and good hotels. They are facinating countries with such a lot of history. A slight criticism was Vietnam Airlines Long haul flights pretty scruffy.

Thank you for organizing a very enjoyable trip.

Michelle,

First of all thanks for all the help you gave us, via email and telephone, prior to our visit to Vietnam and Cambodia. We returned home yesterday after an excellent 'vacation'. The organization by Travel IndoChina could not have been bettered. All of the guides were knowledgeable and efficient, were always there if and when needed and were always on time. The drivers were always there to pick us up/drop us off on time whether we were going to/from the airport or going out for/on a tour and cars we were allocated were of the highest standard. The hotels you booked us into couldn't be faulted and the itinery you made for us was superb - we basically saw everything that was to be seen.

Thank you for a most enjoyable travel experience. (I hesitate to call it a vacation as we now need at least a week to rest and recover from it).

Hi Clare,

Just to let you know we had a fantastic trip. Everything went very smoothly. The tour guides were all charming and very helpful and everything was efficient, thank you very much.

Sincerely,

Hi Tina,

I wanted to let you know what a wonderful time we had in Vietnam. Everything went without a hitch and we were very happy with our accommodation especially the Sofitel Metropole in Hanoi -it was definitely worth the extra expense!

Our guide in Hanoi - Thuan was wonderful and we had some fun times - one of the highlights of the trip was him arriving with a bunch of flowers on my birthday!

I'm so glad you talked us into going to Ho Chi Minh city as we loved it and would like to spend some more time there. As you said it was interesting to see the contrast with Hanoi.

All my friends were very impressed with the efficiency of Travel Indochina and send their thanks to you and your company. The guides were all very impressive and it was interesting to learn about their lives and I'm sure they enjoyed themselves as well.

Kind regards,

P. Maxwell, Australia - Tailor-made vacation to Vietnam - February 2012

Hi Kimberley,

Just thought I'd let you know we had an absolute 'awesome' trip. We found China to be a fascinating place... so much to see.

It all worked out so well... we managed to survive -16 degrees in Beijing... never been so cold in all my life!! The Great Wall of China would have to be one of the best things we saw... and we had a perfect sunny day... hardly a cloud in sight. Amazing to be there... pictures don't do it any justice :)

Accommodation was great apart from a bed short on the cruise which I'm sure you've already heard about!! However, the Yangtze River Cruise was definitely one of the highlights. All the guides were really knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and made everything a lot easier and enjoyable for us.

Thank you so much for all your hard work Kimberley... I know we made many changes during the 'planning' and you were always so helpful and patient...!! We appreciate it.

Regards,

To whom it May Concern,

I have just returned from the 14 day Vietnam discovery tour. The tour was well organized and I am recommending anyone going to Indochina should travel with you! Our proficient Tour Leader was Christy Houston and she made sure we were well organized and recommended places to eat, shop etc. The 4 local guides just blew me away. Each one was so educated and knowledgeable in their area. Their passion and ability to share their knowledge was an inspiration. They also spoke fantastic English. They deserved every bit of their income and more. We had Long in Saigon, Chien in Dalat, Huy in Hue and Tuong in Hanoi. Each different but each excellent.

The tour has given me a totally new insight into Vietnam learning about the culture, history, religions as well as the amazing scenery. One of my highlights was the Mekong Delta riding in a cart on a road through farms. The 16 people I was with on the tour were one in a million and made it feel like one big family especially since I was traveling by myself.

The accommodation was superb especially the Renaissance Riverside Hotel (felt very spoilt). I took notes throughout the trip and will value the information I have learnt from this trip. Thank you again for the privilege it was to travel with Indochina Tours. Yours faithfully.

Hi Ian,

Just to let you know that our trip to Vietnam was possibly the best family vacation we’ve ever had. The Travel Indochina team over there were incredibly professional and made getting around so easy. Our guides were wonderful. Most stunning of all was the country itself.

L. Storrs, Australia - Tailor-Made family vacation in Vietnam - December 2011

Sarin shared so much knowledge of his country with us as well as helping us understand its history. He is an asset to your company.

Mr & Mrs Barnes Australia, Australia - Tailor-Made vacation to Cambodia - November 2011

Wow they do not put a foot wrong and really excel as a company. The hotels were great, meals great, except for the last restaurant in Cambodia which I think was named Mondilla. In this case the food was too bulk produced and lots of time was cold. The dancing was wonderful but the noise of other customers and rudeness of some people standing in front of the stage for photos made it not acceptable for us to enjoy. My memories of this in April were so different and maybe they are trying to fit too many people in.

Binh was again the perfect guide and watched over us continually and thought ahead for those of us not able to eat certain things or climb some temples etc. He really is amazing and a top man.

Even with the wet weather and some flooding Binh and Travel Indochina were watching out for us and making sure we were safe all the time. Also the thoughtfulness of the cold water and wipes each time we get got on the bus was so thoughtful and the drivers were always so safe.

Our experience in both Hanoi and Phnom Penh in going to the restaurants set up for the training of street children was fantastic and we would recommend this for any people you are sending over to those areas.

We had a fabulous time and cannot recommend Travel Indochina highly enough. Everything went without a hitch. FANTASTIC. I also would like to say how good it was to deal with Min Wildman. He is a great asset to your company. Our guides were great especially Frank in Beijing. Accommodation was good except for being out of the main areas. There is no way we could have done this ourselves, we would have missed out on so much. Well done and my thanks to Min.

We're very pleased to tell you how very much we enjoyed our Sapa Explorer and Vietnam Insight journeys. Every day was another exciting and magical experience. We were very pleased to have accounts of contemporary and ancient life in Vietnam, and to have been introduced to places we would never have found if touring on our own ...this was our first "tour" vacation. Each destination was a delight to all senses.

Our Tour Leaders Krista and Christy were absolutely brilliant guides in every way, pre-emptive of our needs and feelings. We also greatly appreciated our local Vietnamese guides. They are a credit to their country. We were very pleased with the standard of all hotels chosen. We particularly enjoyed those with an extra Vietnamese - or unique - flavor which included Vacation Sapa Hotel, Topas Eco-Lodge, Hoi An Historic Hotel, and the Huong Giang Hotel in Hue. There were 8 of us in our group (both tours) and we found that a perfect number.

Hi Chris I have been very remiss in not letting you know how we got on with our trip to Cambodia and Vietnam that you helped to organize. Since we got back at the end of March life has been extremely busy but I now have a few minutes! First I want to say what an outstanding time we had, Cambodia especially was excellent - the places, the people, the country. What also made it an exceptional trip was that the organization and execution of our itinerary by Travel Indo-China was impeccable - everything went according to plan and the guides/drivers provided on all occasions were absolutely excellent.

The accommodation in most cases was excellent (both in terms of quality and location) - guides. The drivers were all excellent – very helpful and accommodating. All the arrangements worked like clockwork and the guides were very flexible when it came to us doing what we wanted to do.

In terms of organization and the quality of the guides this was probably the best trip we have done, certainly up there with the best. We would have no hesitation in recommending Travel Indochina to our friends and we would certainly look to use you again should we plan to travel in that part of the world in the future – which I am sure we will do.

Mr. Browne, UK - Vietnam Tailor-made - March 2011

We have been lucky enough to enjoy a tour of Cambodia and Vietnam with your company recently. We really enjoyed every moment of our vacation and cannot praise our guide, Adam Martin enough and all our local guides who were so knowledgeable.

The accommodation in each destination was superb. There were far too many highlights to mention, but we especially loved Siem Reap, the Mekong Delta, Saigon, Hoi An and Halong Bay. We feel very blessed to have met so many wonderful people on our way through both countries and to have made some incredible new friends. We would certainly not hesitate to recommend your company to anybody else.

Mr. & Mrs. Field, UK - Cambodia & Vietnam Explorer - January 2011

Just wanted to let you know that our recent vacation to Cambodia/Vietnam was truly a wonderful experience. we were both extremely impressed with every aspect handled by Travel Indochina. From initial contact, through the itinerary planning stages, to the organization at each stage of our trip.

All of our guides were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The hotels were comfortable and well positioned. The only slight glitch was in Phnom Penh, where our guide had not been given correct details of our connecting leg to Chau Doc.....but after a few phone calls, this was sorted out with no real problem. We cannot recommend the organization of this vacation highly enough, and should the situation arise of further Far East trips, we will definitely be using Travel Indochina again.

Very best wishes,

Mr. Smith & Ms. Gagans, UK - Tailor-Made vacation to Vietnam & Cambodia - January 2011

Takayama & Hiroshima were the highlights of my vacation. Beautiful mountain scenery.

Ms. Sampson, UK - Secrets of Japan - December 2010

Just wanted to let you know that we had a fantastic time on our trip to Cambodia and Vietnam. The tour was extremely well organized and I'd like to make special reference to the main Travel Indochina guide(Brett Taylor) and all the local guides for their knowledge, insights and stories! Particular highlights for me were the trip to Angkor Wat and the cruise at Halong Bay.

Thanks again,

Mr. Taylor, UK - Cambodia & Vietnam Explorer - December 2010

My husband and I have just returned home from our tour, Highlights of Rajasthan, and wanted you to know how much we enjoyed our adventure. We were absolutely thrilled to once again have the privilege of having Paula Harrigan as our Tour Leader. We had travelled with her in Vietnam and Cambodia 2 years previously. Again she far exceeded our expectations as a Tour Leader looking after all the details and needs of her group with a smile and friendly manner. She always seems to deal with things with such confidence that I must repeat what I said about her 2 years ago. You should feel privileged to have such a competent person in your employee. Paula continues to be our Number 1 Tour Leader.

We also wanted to compliment your research and development people for seeking out such unique properties for accommodations. They also have a nice balance of activities and relaxing time planned throughout the journey. It was nice between all the bustle of urban touring to enjoy Nimaj and Osian as a refreshing and relaxing stop along the way. The selection of recommended restaurants along the way were also very good. Your policy of spreading the business with a variety of businesses throughout the trip and not just the hotels is one we truly support.

This was our second trip with your company and it lived up to our high expectations after our first trip in 2008. We have recommended you to many of our friends and will continue to do us following our 2nd experience.

Sincerely,

Mr. & Mrs. Symington, US - Highlights of Rajasthan - November 2010
