DAYS 1-2: DELHI
Arrive in Delhi and transfer to your hotel. A tour of this remarkable city uncovers the massive Jama Masjid and the World Heritage listed Humayun’s Tomb. Explore the vibrant Old Delhi streets on an exciting rickshaw ride and food walk, and enjoy some free time to shop in the boutiques and markets around Connaught Place.

DAYS 3-5: VARANASI & BANDHAVGARH NATIONAL PARK
Fly to Varanasi, the spiritual heart of Hindu India. Be enlightened at the temples and stupas of nearby Sarnath, the birthplace of Buddhism, before returning for a sunset aarthi ceremony. Rise early to observe the rising sun illuminating the pilgrims bathing in the ghats of the Ganges, and wander the incense-filled laneways nearby. Fly to Khajuraho, and then pass delightful villages and rural scenes as you travel to Bandhavgarh National Park which boasts the highest tiger density in India, as well as boar, jackal and sambar. From your stunning jungle lodge, experience the thrill of dawn and dusk game drives.

DAYS 6-7: KHAJURAHO & ORCHHA
A scenic drive to Khajuraho brings you to ancient temples with intricate erotic carvings. In the charming riverside town of Orchha, explore the historic cenotaphs and take in the beautiful river scenes, before an evening train journey to Agra.

DAYS 8-10: AGRA & JAIPUR
The sight of the dawn light glowing upon the intricate detail of the awe-inspiring Taj Mahal will take your breath away. Continue to the famous Pink City of Jaipur and stop at a traditional milk market where farmers and buyers banter over this Indian staple. Unmask the royal heritage at the City Palace, the Palace of Winds, and the imposing Amber Fort. Meet local artisans at a carpet weaving workshop before you depart for Pushkar.

DAYS 11-13: PUSHKAR & JODHPUR
Nestled around the shores of a holy lake, visit white-washed Pushkar’s Brahma temple and bathing ghats and climb aboard for a sunset camel ride on the outskirts of town. Travel on to Jodhpur where a trip to the impressive Meherangarh Fort affords stunning views of the azure-hued buildings in the Blue City, followed by a guided walk through the lively bazaar.

DAYS 14-17: JOJAWAR & UDAIPUR
Atmospheric Jojawar village is your base for an exhilarating train safari. Visit a camel herder village by jeep before pushing on to Udaipur, one of the world’s most romantic cities. Take the time to venture among the ornate cupolas and balconies of the City Palace and absorb the magical atmosphere with a boat ride on Lake Pichola. Amble through the city’s narrow streets at your own pace, perusing the city’s famed arts and crafts. On your last day, enjoy free time before your departure transfer.
