2008 Northern Encounter:8 day Thailand Tour

Meet friendly hilltribe people, spot local wildlife and more.

Small, closely knit, hillside villages dot the landscape of northern Thailand, and live, surrounded by rolling hills and cloud-covered mountain passes, in the heart of the ancient Lanna Kingdom. On our ‘Northern Encounter’ journey you will get up close and personal to the local Thai people and learn their fascinating traditions and respected customs. Explore the spiritual temples and cluttered markets, followed by an elephant trek into the jungle.

This in-depth vacation to one of the most beautiful destinations in the ‘Land of Smiles’ will leave you hungry for more.

Chiang Mai, Mae Hong Son, Pai, Lisu Lodge.

Ask our Travellers: "I took your 'Northern Encounter' trip on the 'Willing to Share' option while my husband took a course in Bangkok. I was nervous at first, having never travelled on my own or done a group tour, but now I know it is the only way to go! I loved my group and the whole experience." J. Luder - Australia
